Bkind4life Learner Incentive Campaign

Underpinning the Purpose4life and Biz4life programmes is a learner incentive campaign that encourages learners to acquire the competencies, skills and attitudes to recognise and manage emotions, develop caring and concern for others, establish positive relationships, make responsible decisions and handle challenging situations. The campaign’s long-term objectives are as follows:

  • To encourage total learner attendance at workshops.
  • To encourage learners to live the school’s vision, mission and values.
  • To inspire behaviour changes to reduce detention, absenteeism, fighting and bullying.
  • To inspire learners to set goals and objectives inclusive of social ones.
  • To help reduce the school drop-out rate over the long term.
  • To help increase the aggregate class score over the long term.
  • To encourage learners to initiate and implement social projects at school and in their community over the long term.

In this respect, sponsorship has been secured from City Sightseeing Red Bus Tours to take the top sixty learners at Kensington Senior Secondary School on a half-day Peninsula Tour in the first week of December 2022.

However, in 2023, the incentive campaign rewards date will change to June/July, i.e., the tourism off-season, targeting redundant capacity within the industry as incentives. The Bkind4life campaign’s long-term vision is forming sustainable partnerships with the tourism industry to create win-win relationships that benefit both parties. As a result, the youth is experiencing tourism in their City, and the tourism industry is creating new domestic future customers for their services using redundant capacity, usually wasted if not utilised.
